I’m surprised this one made it past the DMV. They tend to be a little more stringent here than, say, Virginia, which judging by the internet is the better state for getting away with shit on your vanity license plate.

This is most likely going to get me thumbed down, but I feel a need to elaborate on this one. I used to have an original GTO back in the old days. In the 60s/early 70s, the industry nickname for that kind of car was “the goat”. So I’m guessing that the plate is actually supposed to read “goat_se”, as in GTO Special Edition. It’s probably safe to shake the driver’s hand–and then point and laugh uncontrollably because s/he has no idea what they really put on their “vanity” license plate.
