Well, in my case, it motivates me to want to hunt down the seller and slap her to sleep for trying to make money off of the death of an innocent child.
Or is that not the sort of motivation they were going for?
These were all so disgusting but I’m holding out my purchase for the Caylee Anthony Memorial Fundraising Children’s Coloring Book… don’t tell me we don’t have the level of class and talent on Etsy to come out with that…
Why does it bother me that the picture isn’t even centered in the damn bottle cap???? WHY???? Never mind that this person is a selfish mercenary fucktard, but goddamn it, she could at least put the picture in the goddamn center!

It looks cheaply made, because it is cheaply made, in every sense of the word. “…selfish mercenary fuctard” so accurately nailed it, you deserve a drink for that one.
Let’s just give her that last point, considering ANY price is an exorbitant price when you’re talking about profiting by the death of a child by selling junk.

How long will it take Casey to cash in and send a legal team to sue these people for using her dead daughter’s image for profit? Set your stopwatches, she’ll be on that money train in no time.
Well it looks like you may have actually accomplished something. The artist is now at least pretending “50% donations will be made to Unicef, the rest covers materials and shipping, thank you”

Yes. If I was murdered, a shittily made bracelet would be my justice.
July 6, 2011 at 6:27 pm
my guess is it was not a lone substance, but didnt bottles play an important part in the reason for her departure?
July 6, 2011 at 6:44 pm
I wish I could insert a gif of Orson Welles clapping here.

Thank you! I could not get it to work in preview.

More to the point, WHO WOULD WEAR THIS?

The same people that spell Karma “Carmma”.
July 6, 2011 at 10:37 pm
but only for a week, and then it will go on the “why did i buy this?” pile.
July 6, 2011 at 6:23 pm
Why is the picture a motivational poster?
July 6, 2011 at 6:33 pm
More like a demotivational poster.

I’m surprised the seller doesn’t claim it’s made with an authentic bottle cap discarded by Casey Anthony while clubbing
July 6, 2011 at 6:44 pm
They don’t even try to pretend they’re going to donate the money to charity. I’d admire their brazenness if it wasn’t so completely despicable.
July 6, 2011 at 7:09 pm
Just terrible. Even worse that someone would probably buy that garbage.

Thank you, I was just about to post that! Also, the background doesn’t even cover the bottle cap; the sides are squared off :-/
A job worth doing in order to profit from someone else’s tragedy is a job worth doing RIGHT, damn it!
July 6, 2011 at 8:02 pm
I’m a little puzzled by the use of rasta colors. Not my idea of One Love.
July 6, 2011 at 11:04 pm
It’s because they took this whole thing too Rastafar…
July 7, 2011 at 1:47 am
That upset me as well.
July 6, 2011 at 8:11 pm
Let’s see:
Fugly? Check!
Tasteless? Check!
Now all you need to do is charge an exorbitant price an you win the Etsy trifecta!

what bothers me the most is that it’s NOT a bottlecap! it’s a bottlecap-style charm. fairly sure this is the beginning of the end of the world, guys.
July 7, 2011 at 6:24 pm
I think it’s more than a little creepy that people could buy and wear a bracelet showing the image of a dead child they never met….
July 7, 2011 at 6:46 pm
She has to charge nine bucks for a bottle cap, because she’s paying royalties to the photographer. And the brewery.
July 8, 2011 at 2:03 pm
What little faith I had in the human race just went bye-bye.
July 9, 2011 at 12:38 pm
Now this person is getting exposure on the MSN home page story.
http://digitallife.today.com/_news/2011/07/08/7042776-did-etsy-yank-350-casey-anthony-trial-diorama?gt1=43001
“(the seller) told the Daily Dot that she was “spitting mad” over the Casey Anthony case and made the pendants because “I just wanted to see how many people felt the way I did.” ”
What the fuck ever. She, along with everyone else that is selling these things, saw an opportunity to make money off of someone else’s misfortune.
