This is an actual commemorative being produced and sold by a Chinese company called Guan Dong Enterprises. It’s a porcelain cup, celebrating the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
As you can see, the detail is ornate.
And yet, there are some details that have been overlooked.
That’s not William. That’s Harry. And I don’t think William is going to be too happy about Prince Ginger getting his royal shag on.
I wish I could buy this, but I know they’re going to catch on pretty quick and it’ll never happen. In fact, I think the video they have up will probably come down too.
Which is why we downloaded it for you.
UPDATE: Some people have written in to say this is a hoax, and it could be. So far, Reuters is reporting it as a real story. In any case, I bought three of them.

Unfortunately, it appears that the whole thing has been purposely done in order to create an “instant collectible”. Guan Dong Enterprises is actually a company registered in England. The story was reported by the UK Telegraph on Wednesday. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t still want one.
Other choices to commemorate the occasion include the “Royal Wedding” souvenir barf bags, and Novelty condoms with a box inscribed “lie back and think of England”.

Well, the mugs might very well be real – I certainly hope so for the sake of those who have ordered. However, the company is definitely not a Chinese wholesaler like they want to appear. The name of the real Chinese company is “Guangdong,” while this one goes by “Guandong.” A whois search on the domain name confirms that the domain has been very recently registered in the UK. So it’s fake derp, but again, the product could be real. I wouldn’t call it a scam unless they were taking people’s money for a nonexistent product.

I really, really hope this is a real product so I’ll know what to get my mom for mother’s day. She (for some godforsaken reason) loves the royals, but she’d still think this was funny. I’m kinda hesitant to order, though, until I know for sure it’s real.

You know they might have put Harry’s pic on there in purpose to cause scandal and drive up sales. Probably sell more mugs. If they made the mugs correctly we wouldn’t be talking about the mugs.

I am so excited! My Royal Wedding Mug came today-in time for me to drink tea out of it while watching the wedding. And guess what? It does have a picture of Harry-making my tea so much tastier.
