Yeah, but none of the guitars you picture are signed by Jeff Foxworthy, Faith Hill and some guy I never heard of.

I’m not at all convinced of the authenticity of those signatures on the “Star Struck Signatures” guitars. There are a lot of fakes out there.

I cut out all the language about COAs and guarantees when I pasted the image together, but it all seems authentic. – HK

Either way, the $40,000 is of course ludicrous. I’m just saying that someone who might be in the market for a guitar like the ones in the link should definitely do their homework. I’ve seen a lot of seemingly legit sites selling autographs with fancy COAs that weren’t worth the paper they were printed on.

at least the guitar had some effort put into it. it’s idiotically priced and looks like something a beach-side souvenir shop vomited on, but they at least TRIED

you can tell it’s a quality certificate of authenticity because it’s laminated

I’m just wondering the reaction Jeff Foxworthy had when asked to sign that hideous guitar…I’d pay for a video of that!

I’m just having a hard time trying to figure out why they had Faith Hill and Jeff Foxworthy sign a guitar, seeing as NEITHER plays the instrument.

Not to mention – HOLY CRAP I’d rather have the Queen, or the Stones, or The Who – WHY would I want three goofballs??

Helen, you forgot the cost of the fine-tipped marker for the clothespins. Unless of course, you were planning on just pinning the seed envelope to the flowerpot with the clothespin.

Actually, popsicle sticks work better, and you can use them in, like, a garden, as opposed to a flower pot. (plus they’re even cheaper)

I could never want that Jeff Foxworthy guitar – there are no rhinestones on it at ALL.

Is this part of his comedy routine? “You know you’re a redneck when you spent 40,000 dollars on a mosaic guitar that plays like shit but is signed by a bunch of C-list celebs”

(the only reason I know who Brooks & Dunn are is because their tour bus was parked around the corner from the convention center at a SF convention a few years ago. Mostly, I spent the time walking past asking random strangers “Who the fuck is Brooks & Dunn?”)

Hey, at least the watch seller seems to know the proper meaning of “steampunk.” But the laziness and chutzpah of selling clothespins with words written on them… it renders me speechless. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a really ugly Native-American walking stick and I heard The Harlem Globetrotters are in town. I’m gonna be rich!!

The reason the guitar is so expensive is because of the way all the mosaic tile, grout, hot glue and marbles adds to the fabulous timbre of the instrument.

I used to listen to country music (before it turned completely into pop music) and even I think that guitar is hideous and horribly overpriced.

And what an odd collection of autographs. Just Kix Brooks and not Ronnie Dunn. A comedian. And a pop-country singer.

You can make bids on guitars with many more signatures without all the Bedazzling once a year during any country radio station’s St. Jude charity auction.

You’d save at least $39,000 and help a kid-centric charity.

Wait. The Queen guitar dates from after Freddie Mercury died. You think I’m going to pay almost $1700 for a guitar signed by Paul Rodgers? I don’t care if Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon signed it-if it doesn’t have Freddie’s signature, it’s not Queen.

UGH! What gets me about the clothespin fuckery is the bald-faced LYING. Handstamped? I mean, if you’re gonna try to pass them off as “handstamped” why take such a clear close-up shot, in which we can all see they were written on with a fine-point sharpie? Not only are you an asshole, but you FAIL at lying. You’re not even a successful asshole. Congrats.

If you look at the guitar, you can see that the signatures are on top of the painted bits. Did this lunatic make the guitar first, and then lug it around to have the celebrities sign it?
Seems a little fishy to me.

i’m the one who submitted the watch. i love steampunk and my boyfriend bought it for me as a christmas present. it wasn’t until after that we discovered it wasn’t handmade, it wasn’t antique, and it was grossly overpriced.

i am pleased to announce, however, that after a long, arduous e-mail campaign (which resulted in my account being temporarily suspended), i got enough people together and we got the watches (there is a whole line of them, they’re made in china) removed from the shop. this wasn’t the only shop selling them, though, so they’re still out there–don’t make the same mistake we did and buy a cheap, factory-made watch from etsy!

You’ll be pleased to know the same seller is featured in the next Compare and Save too! – HK

To be fair to the guitar guy, if you are a country music fan, you know who Brooks & Dunn are. They are like the best selling country band of all time.

That said, nobody is into just Brooks. Like #34 said, who wants a Queen guitar without Freddy Mercury?

And I can’t believe I am the only person to make this observation, but I am absolutely DYING to see the “mosaic horse head on back” of the guitar. And I mean DYING.
