Bags o’ Fun
Two handmade messenger bags by the delicious Go Baggery on Etsy are now up for auction on Ebay, and both are stuffed to the brim with high quality shit that you simply must have!
AUCTION ONE:
Auction starts at $20.00 with NO RESERVE
Click image to go to the Ebay listing
WHAT YOU GET:
This is a handmade bag in the Atomic Elephant fabric, designed for our Regretsy Spoonflower fabric contest earlier this year.
The bag is crammed full of shit from Comic Con, as well as many other other pieces of delightful fuckery. There is a fantastic photo of Malcom McDowell in A Clockwork Orange, which he personally autographed for me at Comic Con, as well as a signed cast photo from What’s Happening.
And you also get a signed Regretsy book, as well as an embroidered pantyliner bookmark from Regretsy superstar HiBird. See the auction listing for full info.
WHO DOES THIS AUCTION BENEFIT?
This auction benefits Stephanie, of Rainbow Darkness Studios (her Etsy shop is here).
Stephanie is hearing impaired, and is having a very difficult time getting her hearing aids repaired. She initially just asked if we could give her store a shout out, but I thought we could do better.
If the bag becomes too expensive or it isn’t something you want to bid on, please consider taking a look at Stephanie’s shop, and seeing if there’s something there you might be interested in buying. Her items are all very reasonably priced.

AUCTION TWO:
Auction starts at $20.00 with NO RESERVE
Click image to go to the Ebay listing
WHAT YOU GET:
This is a handmade bag in the Dingleberry fabric, designed for our Regretsy Spoonflower fabric contest earlier this year.
The bag is filled with awesome creations by Regretsy featured artists (like Denny Pinkham) and Regretsy regulars. There are all kinds of things in here, from jewelry to handmade soap, as well as many other other articles or fabulousness.
There is also a signed Regretsy book inside, as well as an embroidered pantyliner bookmark from Regretsy superstar HiBird. See the auction listing for full info.
WHO DOES THIS AUCTION BENEFIT?
Proceeds for this auction benefit Veronica of Ronnie’s Tender Heart (her Etsy shop is here).
Veronica is only 22 years old, but she’s battling leukemia for the third time. Her friends have started an Etsy store, hoping to sell enough bracelets to help cover the portion of her medical bills not covered by her insurance. Veronica is currently in the ICU, battling pneumonia.
Veronica must be a very special person. She is deeply loved by many people, who are all exhausting themselves to cover as many of these bills as possible.
If the bag becomes too expensive or it isn’t something you want to bid on, please consider taking a look at Ronnie’s shop, and seeing if there’s a bracelet you might be interested in buying. Nothing there is over $10.
If you’d rather just make a donation, you can visit the blog her friends are running to keep everyone updated on Ronnie’s progress. There’s a Paypal donation link there.
If you can’t bid on either or don’t see anything you’d like to buy, please favorite the sellers who have contributed to these auctions, and consider them for your next purchase. They have been very generous with their time and talents.
Happy bidding, and thank you for your generous assistance of Etsy sellers in need.

I totally stole first bid on the comic con bag… unfortunately it’s already sprung out of my price range, but I’ll totally go to the 2 etsy shops and support the 2 ladies there.

My Speak Calm print is in the second one! SUCK ASS, LEUKEMIA!!
August 24, 2010 at 6:46 pm
Oh-hoh! So that’s what happened to Garen’s bags! Couldn’t go to better causes!
August 24, 2010 at 6:49 pm
Oh wait, I’m sorry. I meant to say: you pathetic, emotionally-retarded hateful bitch.
August 24, 2010 at 7:02 pm
WOW.
God, I love those bags almost as much as I love you, HK! And the rest of you, too, of course
August 24, 2010 at 7:18 pm
YAY! I’ve been on tenterhooks waiting to see what Garen’s wonderful bags will be filled with and it’s even more heart-tugging than I expected. I really hope these go for a HUGE BOATLOAD OF CASH!
And, since Etsy is a total jerk and won’t properly code website addresses, here’s our main website: http://www.gobaggery.com
YAY!

Just passing on the Regretsy love (am the boy with the service dog who needed a new harnes!) I bought from the first shop, and donated to the second group.

I just wanted to say that I think it is awesome how much charity posting you do. I read a ton of blogs, lots that get plenty of traffic, but there are none that do as much to help other people as you do. You are made of win. Plus, you’re funny..

I can’t afford to bid on the Glorious Bag, but I am proud to have contributed Popsicle Stick Man, the whimsicle fuckery of some guy at Comic-con. He hands out many many of these each year, each one unique, carefully handcrafted of ummm, popsicle sticks, styrofoam, and uh, yeah. Not sure what else he does.
I LOVE POPSICLE STICK MAN – HK

Hey, does anybody have any recommendations for Etsy people who do custom clothing? My husband really, REALLY wants a pair of dingleberry boxer shorts, and I can’t sew.
August 25, 2010 at 12:40 am
Pantsmonkey, if we were allowed to promote ourselves, I’d promote me, and then have to turn you down since my schedule is booked solid until January.
I placed bids, am not the high-bidder for either, but bumped them up a little.

Thank you to all! In the words of Chandler Bing: Could this BE any cooler?

This posting just proves that those who snark still got hearts!
August 25, 2010 at 1:59 pm
Stephanie’s shop is awesomesauce. I just bought some whimsicle fuckery from her for me, my sister and my daughter, who picked out a necklace for her birthday on her site
August 25, 2010 at 2:34 pm
I just had to buy a bracelet from Ronnies friends. My heart just melted when I read her story <3
August 25, 2010 at 5:49 pm
Every time I see cupcakes whining in the Etsy forums about BAD, MEAN, AWFUL Regretsy, I wonder what the fuck they do that’s half as generous, kindhearted and helpful as this.
Well to be fair, they’re very busy not selling anything. It’s a full time job. – HK

I am in love with Stephanie’s shop!
August 26, 2010 at 12:32 pm
This is why I will defend Regretsy to the bitter end no matter whose widdle feewings gets hurt.
