WTF Alchemy Request – UPDATE

You may remember seeing this Alchemy Request posted here last April:

Shortly after I posted this, I got the following email from Etsy seller Rose Briccetti:

Dear Regretsy,

When I saw the Alchemy request for a ‘Lady Gaga devouring a Unicorn’ painting you featured, I just had to bid on the project. Lo and behold, I was informed today that I will be able to put my art school degree to good use and have been commissioned for this project.

I would like to thank Regretsy for helping me bring this kind of whimsicle fuckery into my life and artwork. If you want, I’ll send you a picture of the piece when it’s done.

Namaste bitches,
Rose

I think you can imagine my reply, and how many exclamation points I used. I have been waiting patiently for the final product, and today, Rose sent me a picture of the finished painting.

Click below for the full sized image.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN PROUDER.

i believe this event can best be described in a song by the byrds’ pete seeger who was right on target when he said:

    To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
    ***********
for every bit of crazy out there, there is a reciprocating bit of lunacy.

It is lovely and demure; beautifully toned down from what we know features many more blood-soaked entrails when she does it in real life.

here’s a thought… I’m certain that aside form being clever, witty, and urbane, Regretsarians are also a massively talented bunch. (this post being exhibit A) I, for one would really like to see the skill behind the snark.
