We are scheduled to be on Nightline tonight, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. The oil spill pushed the story back for a couple of months, and today may just be slow enough to get us on the air. So let’s all just hope nothing interesting happens in the next few hours.

I get oddly giddy when people I “know” are on TV. First it happened with the snopes husband and wife and now- again- with the Regretsy Lady.
And Creepy Dolls.
Now I get to shriek in delight: “I KNOW HER! I KNOW HER!”
It makes my kids mad, so its a double bonus for me.

I got interviewed on the news in Chicago when Harry Caray (Cubs announcer) died. I told them I was a Tigers fan and listened to Ernie Harwell (Tigers announcer). Awkward! Oh, and also I got into an argument about politics with Mort Kondracke in Iowa during the 2004 Caucuses. Warn’t on the TV box, though. (Still, I did school him.) Oh, and also, also, I told Tom Brokaw to “please use the other door, thanks.” I am destined to thwart greatness.

I just called my family and best friends (besides my other family of Regretsies)…then I texted the rest.
I am so excited to see this air! I was fortunate enough to witness the fuckery in person. Perhaps you’ll see a sliver of my head in the background bidding at the charity auction? LOL.

It just occurred to me that I’m going to have to un-bury my TV for this. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to watch TV, so I’ve gradually buried it behind a growing stack of empty Amazon boxes and whatnot. I even missed the season premiere of Mad Men, damn it all!

I remember my dad chewing me out in high school because the only time I was interested in Nightline was to see Madonna interviewed. What can I say, I was in the throes of MTV mania at its inception. You know, when they used to play music videos – before some of you were born.
I should give him the heads up about tonight’s feature.
I don’t think his opinion of me has changed any.

That was fun! You got more face time than the Awkward Family Photos guys, and the poor Cake Wrecks folks got barely a mention. Loved the testimonial from Raven about how much more business she’s gotten as a result of being featured on Regretsy, too — take that, all you crabeetus types!

Since I lost my bid to become the next CEO of BP, I think I’ll apply for the Nightline segment editor spot. Here’s my cut of the segment preceding yours:

And then I would edit the segment you were in to include your entire SDCC set on Flickr with your URL displayed throughout. Sound good?
