Last year, I had a total knee replacement and they gave me, among other things, a walker. I named it. I named it Jean-Luc because I am now part of Borg. I have been assimilated and the walker was an extension of Borg.
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
*I now walk fine, without the walker. I blend in with non-Borg quite well. Nobody even knows… >shifty eyes<
I make knitted dolls for friends. The faces basically all look the same – it’s pretty tough to knit features. The uniqueness comes from clothing and accessories, and also eyebrows. If you don’t get those right, there’s no point.
They are a ton of work, which is why I don’t Etsy them – you can’t sell them for a price your time is worth. One typically takes 8-10 hours.
I can do a Professor Snape, by the way. But there’s no way he’d look as evil as Alan Rickman. Or have silky, flowing…
Gilgamesh and Enkidu at Uruk! EternalGreen, may Humbaba never darken your door. PS. Bronc, this doll is kinda cute and reasonably well made…not trashy enough to be Regretsy fodder…mebbe you should lay off the cranky pills and go back to the Talking Weed?
@ #19, I think she was basing this on the uniforms from DS9 onwards which were black w/gray shoulders and the collar/undershirt was red, blue or gold. The TNG cast wore these style uniforms in the films. I prefer the series uniforms myself and they probably would’ve been easier to knit, but *shrug*
I’m holding out for a Data plushie.
One of my crew members HATES dolls, muppets, mascots and all that kind of crap. I would so love to buy something like this, behead it and put it in bed with him. Is that wrong of me?
you will lower your knitting needles and escort us to sector zero-zero-one. your fuckery, as it has been, are over. from this day forward, you will craft for us.
May 5, 2010 at 1:33 pm
There may be four lights but Picard HAS NO NOSE!
May 5, 2010 at 1:33 pm
Obviously, the doll is not the only thing from outer space.
May 5, 2010 at 1:33 pm
I want one with that guy that wore the banana clip for glasses.
May 5, 2010 at 1:33 pm
Welcome to the Enterprise, Mr. Bill.
May 5, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Okaaaay.
A: knit does NOT equal plush
B: That does NOT look like Picard
C: Who the FUCK would pay $30 for a badly made sock monkey?
May 5, 2010 at 1:34 pm
That looks like it took a long time. It also looks awful.

To Boldly Go Where No Knitted Plush Has Gone Before…
May 5, 2010 at 1:37 pm
Come on, you remember the episode where Captain Picard was assimilated by Frosty the Snowman.
May 5, 2010 at 1:40 pm
As a gal who still has a small shrine to Jean-Luc in her basement…. I find this offensive!
May 5, 2010 at 1:42 pm
Monstrosa: Icicleus of Borg.
May 5, 2010 at 1:42 pm
Meanies ! He’s far out, stop picking on him. Oh wait , is that blob tin foil?
May 5, 2010 at 1:44 pm
A quote from my mum: “It’s kind of sad, isn’t it?”
Yes Mum, yes it is.

are these things “saints”?, because they may not resemble the person’s “physical” appearance.
May 5, 2010 at 1:47 pm
@blablover5 How does he smell?!
May 5, 2010 at 1:49 pm
The one with the toupee is fucking classic. Good on ya, Regretsy!
May 5, 2010 at 1:49 pm
I don’t get the big grey triangle. Starfleet uniforms don’t have those. AND the colors are backwards – the uniform is red and the shoulder is black.
Oh fuck did i say all that STTNG geekery in my outside voice? Shit, I’ve outed myself.
May 5, 2010 at 1:50 pm
And the Sisko and Janeway mockups are fantastic HK/B.
May 5, 2010 at 1:54 pm
STAR DREK?
May 5, 2010 at 1:56 pm
I dunno. I like it. I LIKE IT!
May 5, 2010 at 2:02 pm
I would order a Moe the bartender, but I have a feeling it would look alot like the Jean-Luc Picard.
May 5, 2010 at 2:05 pm

I don’t know which is worse… that someone bought that… or that someone is a fan of Voyager in the first place.
May 5, 2010 at 2:18 pm
This is so bad that I just might have to purchase it.
May 5, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Ohhhh….now I know who it was in that saint drawing from earlier in the week.
May 5, 2010 at 2:31 pm
Think I’ll hold out for the SMOKING Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise – Plush Doll.
May 5, 2010 at 2:37 pm
The face looks like a burn patient wrapped in gauze
May 5, 2010 at 2:52 pm
#30,RCB- would that make this third degree crafts?
May 5, 2010 at 2:57 pm

I have another character in mind… How about a crab-hammering puritanical dickbag…
May 5, 2010 at 4:00 pm
IT’S TERRIFYING. I can feel the bottomless pits of its black eyes staring into the depths of my soul.
May 5, 2010 at 4:47 pm
The eyes remind me of a different sci-fi show: the alien virus on the X-files…
Or perhaps he’s possessed by Maryann the maenad.
May 5, 2010 at 5:27 pm
Picard? No. Picard dressed up as Jason from Friday the Thirteenth? Yes.
May 5, 2010 at 5:28 pm
Why is Picard dressed like a V (from the original series, not the remake)?
and #33, stretch – BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
May 5, 2010 at 6:41 pm
OMG those are so cute. I am not so sure that this shop is not a copyright nightmare though so I will skip the live long and prosper bullshit for now.
May 5, 2010 at 6:50 pm
Picard is so white…so very, very white.

May 5, 2010 at 9:53 pm

May 5, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Wow ! What an amazing likeness ! I can’t wait to see the Twilight dolls !
May 6, 2010 at 12:03 am
Someone bought it. I wonder if she can do a Professor Snape. I wonder if I would buy it. I am afraid I would.

I love how they pegged Riker’s hair…which I’ve always hated.
June 16, 2011 at 10:20 am
Wait, was that Riker? Maybe that was Troi-post Starfleet make-under.
