$1200

Housing Works auction was a big success. We raised over $1200 for them, and it was a wonderfully fun event.

And as an added bonus, Nightline was there! They are also following me to ROFL Con in Boston, and then will continue to Raven’s house to show her at work in her studio.

It was an incredible night, and a great opportunity for a lot of people. There was so much press there!

Thanks to all of the wonderfully talented artists who donated their work. It was one of the most satisfying things I have ever been involved with.

I only have a few pix, but I’ll post more when I get them.

Leaving for Boston in a few hours. See you there!

Wish I Was Here

Okay now wait a minute. How is she thinking of you? Isn’t she thinking of herself? She’s sitting there, and she’s looking over her own shoulder, watching herself thinking of herself.

If she was thinking of you, it would look like this:

Well, if you were Justin Bieber, I mean.

An Important Message From Bronc Drywall

Greetings, subjects. Bronc Drywall here. As you probably know, our beloved Helen Killer embarked on her glorious World Tour yesterday. For the next 1.5 weeks she’ll be wreaking havoc across the Eastern Seaboard. If any of you are lucky enough to run into her, do me a favor and volunteer to be the designated driver. K thanks.

Anyway, Helen and I stocked up as many posts as we could in order to keep the site up and running in the interim. It should run smoothly, for the most part. I’ll do my best to keep up with the Facebook and Twittering. I may even write a few posts here on the main site. The point is, don’t fret. I’ve been involved with the site since its inception, and our sensibilities are pretty close. Helen is much funnier than I am (duh), but that’s only because she’s the funniest person alive. I’m no slouch in the yuks department my damn self. And while she is funnier than I am, I am much meaner than she is. She holds back sometimes; I can’t make any such promises. Helen makes it a policy to mock the craft, not the crafter. I am not necessarily under any such restrictions.

Stick around; I think you’ll be entertained. First time for everything, yes? I’ll make it worth your while. I don’t suffer fools gladly, I cuss a lot, and the list of things I hate is longer than Manute Bol’s arm.

I hope you enjoy.

Cheers,
Bronc

YOUR AUCTION PREVIEW: 4/28

The Regretsy book signing and live auction will take place at 7:00 PM tonight at Housing Works Bookstore!

Housing Works is a nonprofit bookstore and cafe, where all proceeds benefit homeless people living with HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from the auction go directly to Housing Works.

I collected your donated crafts for this event, and I’ve featured one a day for the last 10 days. I think you’ll find I’ve saved the most terrifying for last.

Come down to Housing Works and place a bid during the auction. All the details can be found here.

And by the way, there will be a lot of booze.

MOUTH EYE VAMPIRE
SIGNED ART DOLL

By Creepy Dolls

ARTIST’S STATEMENT: “This doll is one of a kind. I bought a porcelain doll and then repainted her. I did not sew the clothes, I just altered them! Her body is cloth and she has porcelain hands, feet, and head. She has hand sculpted sharp teeth where the eyes should be. This is the exact doll that is featured in the Regretsy book, and is signed on the body.”
