Spongebob Jewpants

Who lives with Gefilte fish under the sea?
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
Observant and pious and kosher is he
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
He may not look Jewish but don’t be surprised
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
Even a sponge can be circumsized
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
Ready?
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!
April 15, 2010 at 9:34 am
Oy gevalt!
April 15, 2010 at 9:38 am
I just know people are going to want this; ‘stylized’ yarmulkes seem to be increasing in popularity.
That said, I LOVED the commentary!
April 15, 2010 at 9:39 am
Awesome song re-do!
April 15, 2010 at 9:41 am
“Even a sponge can be circumsized
SPONGEBOB JEWPANTS!”
April 15, 2010 at 9:44 am
Thank you ISUS.
April 15, 2010 at 9:46 am
Awesome tune, HK!
ISUS: Don’t make me beg!
I don’t think crabby patties are kosher: http://www.religionfacts.com/judaism/practices/kosher.htm
April 15, 2010 at 9:46 am
I love the attention to detail the seller went to- “medium blue fabric” and “varying size bubbles in blue and yellow” instead of just saying, “I made this out of Spongebob fabric” and leaving it at that.
And I love the song. I just texted a photo of this with the song to my daughter at work.
April 15, 2010 at 9:47 am
oy vey!
April 15, 2010 at 9:48 am
The song made my day. Hell, it made my week. Had to post because you can’t hear me applauding.
April 15, 2010 at 9:49 am
Skully!!!! I missed you yesterday!
April 15, 2010 at 9:51 am
Hi Suda, I guess you need to work on your aim!
April 15, 2010 at 9:51 am
Lol. I work in the fabrics section of Wal-Mart and I just sold a lady like… 7 yards of that exact same fabric.
April 15, 2010 at 9:54 am
Moses is crying, I just know it.
April 15, 2010 at 9:56 am
This will go perfect with my seaweed tefillin! I’ll wear them at my sand-bar mitzvah!
April 15, 2010 at 9:56 am
LOL!! Would love to see this photoshopped on Larry David!!!!
April 15, 2010 at 10:06 am
Even a sponge can be circumsized
that made me snort in laughter!
April 15, 2010 at 10:11 am
I’m glad it’s reversible. The white side for the Torah reading, and the Spongebob side for the afikomen… I mean after party.
(I am trying to visualize the various apoplexies this would have caused my older relatives at my brother’s Bar Mitzvah)
April 15, 2010 at 10:26 am
My husband’s cousins have a whole stash of cartoon-themed yarmulkes to plop on the kids’ heads at holidays. If you’re ten or younger, I think it’s cute
April 15, 2010 at 10:33 am
Oy veys-mere gevalt, I want to go back in time & be Bat-mitzva’d just so my guests can wear these(& get alot of gifts!)
April 15, 2010 at 10:34 am
Never thought about a sponge bob yarmulkes. hmmm
April 15, 2010 at 10:35 am
Forever burned into my mind: what a circumcised Sponge Bob looks like…
April 15, 2010 at 10:36 am
Life kinda sucks right now, and I haven’t had a good laugh in days, then I read those song lyrics [and sang them! Why do I know that tune???] and I know I’m gonna be giggling all day.
Thanks!
April 15, 2010 at 10:42 am
This could certainly be worn for Yom Kipper.
April 15, 2010 at 10:44 am
SpongeBob isn’t a full Jew; he’s Jew-ish.
April 15, 2010 at 10:52 am
Shellfish and Sponges aren’t kosher are they?
April 15, 2010 at 10:58 am
jesus christ, I just realized that I’ve beeen using questionable ahem, possibly goyish sponges-treif-I’ll rot in hell for sure.
April 15, 2010 at 10:58 am
Thanks! I needed a laugh break!
April 15, 2010 at 10:59 am
Only now I can’t get the god damn sponge bob song out of my head. Although I like your version better!
April 15, 2010 at 11:00 am
I forget, do they believe in Cod?
April 15, 2010 at 11:02 am
@LeeLoo- kipper & cod -LOLlllz!!!
April 15, 2010 at 11:07 am
Hmmm I don’t think this is sponge-worthy
(ps- anyone watch Seinfeld?)
April 15, 2010 at 11:07 am
TRADITION!!!!
Great song redo! Give yourself comment of the day, HK.
April 15, 2010 at 11:09 am
And GOD said…… “Why must you mock me?!!?!?!”
April 15, 2010 at 11:09 am
#31 Razzie- good one!!!
April 15, 2010 at 11:10 am
@raz- definitely NOT sponge-worthy.
Also, does this need *wash and wear* a lot? Perhaps it’s used as a secret hiding spot for really good corned beef? Just a thought as to why washing would be an issue…
April 15, 2010 at 11:12 am
@ Raz, I love Seinfeld! And indeed I would hazard a guess that this is not sponge worthy.
I once wore my Eeyore robe for a nativity pageant, however that was out of necessity.
April 15, 2010 at 11:12 am
I’d say I hate Spongebob, I don’t want to be accused of being an anti-seamite.
April 15, 2010 at 11:16 am
A good rule of thumb is to not serve calamari at the afikomen (after party) following a Bris
SPONGEBOB NO PANTS!!
April 15, 2010 at 11:22 am
April 15, 2010 at 11:23 am
There is s much fucking drama on the Regretsy Facebook page over this thing. Unreal.
April 15, 2010 at 11:27 am
Oy Helen, the mishigus , did some of my tribe get their lox stuck in their ass?
April 15, 2010 at 11:27 am
Skully! LOOOOLLLL
Helen, when do you think that gal is flouncing?
April 15, 2010 at 11:30 am
Oh Helen, there is so much fucking drama on facebook over everything. Omg, that reminds me, I almost forgot I need to harvest pretend crops!
April 15, 2010 at 11:34 am
Yup, I checked the facebook page & there is a whole lotta’ unkosher schmearing going on.
Asshat faux piety , they need their little punims circumsized .
April 15, 2010 at 11:34 am
Helen, do you see why my screen name is pplrdum?
April 15, 2010 at 11:39 am
Helen, I don’t post to FB because of a feeble attempt at anonymity (I’m ascared of the other PTA ladies and my boss finding out about my secret vices). But putting sponge bob on *anything* is automatic craft fail, AFAIC. (and I was raised Jewish, and now I’m a Jew-Witch and don’t attend temple – and I’ve never seen a cartoon-character yarmulke in my 52 years in this incarnation until today. I thought this was hilarious)
April 15, 2010 at 11:40 am
Hmmmm….. maybe it will help me get into heaven if I wear it.
April 15, 2010 at 11:42 am
Are we sure Spongebob is kosher?
April 15, 2010 at 11:44 am
OK you photo shop whiz kids – Sponge Bob yarmulke on Shazdakel.
I’m PRETTY sure he’s Jewish anyway..
April 15, 2010 at 11:44 am
I’m half-jewish… I thought they asked if I wanted super-sized!
April 15, 2010 at 11:48 am
@stretch65 The afikomen is the traditional matzah that’s hidden/found/eaten as dessert at Passover, not the afterparty.
I’ve seen baseball-team themed kippot that I found amusing/ridiculous/confusing too….
April 15, 2010 at 11:55 am
“I need a glass of Manischewitz and a Vicodin.”
I can see why Helen…

Thanks Designerchick! He needed a little color…
April 15, 2010 at 12:19 pm
#51 I was basing that on # 17 “and the Spongebob side for the afikomen… I mean after party.” Stretch – not at all religious. My Dad’s Mom was Jewish though. I could be called “an observant Jew” because “I LIKE TO WATCH”
April 15, 2010 at 12:20 pm
This is old hat….heh, heh….my congregation has many kinds of kippot, sports teams, colleges, etc. No biggie. My sukkah had a baseball theme one year. The thing I don’t get is the stuffed ten plagues: blood? lice? killing of the first born? http://www.allthingsjewish.com/browseproducts/Plush-Plagues-Bag.html
April 15, 2010 at 12:26 pm
And again, I am cursing the total lack of photoshop on my work computer.
I will just give someone the inspiration.
SpongeBob… not just for Jews anymore!

April 15, 2010 at 12:50 pm
Aside from the morons flapping their salamis on FB, I suspect that the woman who made this would appreciate the humor.
April 15, 2010 at 12:58 pm
Helen – do you thumbs up/thumbs down on all the comments your posts get? Just curious.
: )
April 15, 2010 at 1:01 pm
No, I stay out of the voting.
April 15, 2010 at 1:03 pm
How forward-thinking of him to befriend Patrick Star….the FIVE pointed starfish.
April 15, 2010 at 1:27 pm
I just looked at facebook. Helen you made a mistake. That person causing all the ruckus doesn’t have the stick of Moses in her ass, it’s the STAFF of Moses.
April 15, 2010 at 1:57 pm
“Who has been waiting to use the word minstrelsy?
LE-AH CRYPANTS!
Tenacious and righteous and huffy is she
LE-AH CRYPANTS!”
April 15, 2010 at 2:13 pm
#63 Not only is it the STAFF of Moses up her ass, but a plague of locusts as well.
April 15, 2010 at 2:52 pm
Sadly, I HAVE seen plenty of cartoon character yarmulkes before.
April 15, 2010 at 2:54 pm
Do the blue and orange bubbles, especially the one Spongebob is in, remind anyone else of Portal?
April 15, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Oh jesus, what will…shit.
I meant, CHRIST, what are-…DAMMIT!
April 15, 2010 at 5:27 pm
#57, You will laugh, but I actually own the set of stuffed plagues. They’re a huge hit at Passover, even with the adults–though the reason they’re made is to teach kids the plagues. There’s a whole routine you go through, dipping a finger in wine and touching it to the plate while you yell out the name of each plague in turn. Fun loving culture that we are, it’s kind of a blast to scream “Frogs! Locusts! BLOOD!” etc. right before you dig into your chow-bucket.
April 15, 2010 at 5:42 pm
#67 BB- Oh my god, I thought I was the only one who knew about that game! Now that you mention it, it DOES remind me of Portal! Ahh.. now all it needs is cake.
April 15, 2010 at 7:20 pm
@70 I found the cake!
April 15, 2010 at 10:42 pm
A friend of mine posted the song on her FB (I didn’t know she was a Regretsy lover but I digress). I told her later she should have capped the discussion to send to you, HK. No shit, she pretty much got accused of being a Nazi. I was floored. She deleted the offending comments, though, without getting screen caps. But maybe I did
April 15, 2010 at 11:26 pm

April 17, 2010 at 1:44 pm
I tried to convince my son that this was the original song for Spongebob, but he didn’t buy it. damn kids these days.
