BREAKING CHICKEN FUCKERY
Absolutely Small, the delightful Etsy seller who made the “DECOR” chapter artwork for the upcoming Regretsy Book, has just completed work on 5 plush chickens using REGRETSY Spoonflower fabrics!

She’s loading them into her store now, so grab them up! I have bought two of these toys (Spock and James T. Chickenpants), and they are completely adorable and beautifully made.
Imagine, toys made from your fabrics! God, I’d cry if I had a soul.

I love Chickenpants. They are so adorable.
I really want to make a blanket with some of the Spponflower fabric but it would be so inappropriate. Funny, but wrong.

Any chance she could make one of those awesome hippy shirts to go with these fly pants?
February 2, 2010 at 5:05 pm
Too cute!!!! Makes me smile!!!
February 2, 2010 at 5:05 pm
Really cute! But where are their ponchos?
February 2, 2010 at 5:19 pm
Thanks so much for posting the Regretsy Chickenpants!
Janncri: I adore those crazy chick ponchos! I actually made some capelets for the Chickenpants, though. (Because what is more Etsy than a capelet?) I’d link to it here, but that’s probably all sorts of bad form. Suffice it to say: THEY EXIST.

Helen you are the fucking funniest person ever. Breaking Chicken Fuckery and God, I’d cry if I had a soul.
Congratulations to you. How exciting that someone is making Chicken Fuckery all because you loved Fuckery so much you went out in the World and shared. Amen.

I am deciding which one would be the best for my toddler to carry with her every where we go. I hate decisions.

February 2, 2010 at 5:28 pm

CHICKENPAAAAAAAAAANTSSSSS
February 2, 2010 at 5:52 pm
As much as I mock some of the Etsy stuff here, this underscores the concept’s strength–cool, talented people are creating much-needed alternative to the corporatized, retail crapfest. Here’s a good example of what’s right in the world–dressed in whimsicle fuckery too
February 2, 2010 at 5:56 pm
Does she make chickenSkants too?
February 2, 2010 at 5:59 pm
I LOVE the one on the right end. He’s the Cosmo Kramer of Hipster Doofus fuckery with those dingleberry plaid pants on!
February 2, 2010 at 5:59 pm
I’d love to see some chickenpannots, too.
February 2, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Aww those are cute!
February 2, 2010 at 6:28 pm
OMG completely awesomesauce!
February 2, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Nooooooooo!
I can’t believe someone already nabbed up the one with my fabric, April Chickenpants. I was too slow!
I hope you enjoy it none the less.
Made my week!
February 2, 2010 at 6:51 pm
So damn cute and fun to say!
February 2, 2010 at 8:27 pm
OH EM GEE the fourth one is made from my fabric! yippee!!! I love it as chicken pants.
February 2, 2010 at 8:30 pm
It’s too bad chickens don’t wear shoes because I designed some in my zazzle store that would go great with those pants!

I’m so excited, someone already bought the chicken with my pants!!
AND ITS NAME IS HELEN!!
You can’t even imagine how much this makes my day. Seriously. I was having a super crappy day.
February 2, 2010 at 8:50 pm
Those are fucking awesome.
I want a Dingleberry dress. I will get it eventually. I just need some funding and a half-decent seamstress.

I had to call my mother (a real quilter) to tell her about this. She knows about Regretsy but doesn’t follow it. Here is our conversation about the fabric contest:
ME: OK, so there are a lot of vaginas on Etsy, right . .
MOM: What? Vaginas?
ME: Yeah, they make crafts out of vaginas . .
MOM: They make crafts out of vaginas, or they make vaginas out of crafts?
and so forth.

I’m waiting for the chicken poncho in Regresty fabric to hit the runway!
February 2, 2010 at 9:26 pm
Oh how cute!!
February 2, 2010 at 10:40 pm
I like how the one wearing my fabric is kind of chunky.
OK, I am going to bed now. I heart you, Regretsy.

these are absolutely adorable!
Now sell a dirty one on etsy for $200!

I love the customizable body colors. Fabulously tan would be perfect for a Mike “The Situation” Chickenpants from Jersey Shore if I could get some abs embroidered on.
February 3, 2010 at 10:39 am
OMG! I always did love Chicken Pants!
February 3, 2010 at 11:35 am
Crazycatlady: DUDE. I’ve embroidered on butt cheeks and nipples on Chickenpants before. Abs would actually be a step up.
The nude Chickenpants is long gone, but the Spring Break/Girls of Low Self Esteem Chickenpants lives on:

these > adorable.

Chickenpants may be a reference to “Twistin’ the Night Away”–I’ve always wondered about that “chick in slacks.”

Dude. Too adorable. I totally want to donate my sad and lonely Spoonflower 8×8 test swatch to the cause! (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/262812) Ping me if you want it @absolutelysmall and I’ll mail it to you.
