Dingleberry Plaid
Perhaps my favorite new fabric pattern at Spoonflower, where there are now over 100 fabrics tagged, “regretsy”.
I am going to need a coat made out of this.
Speaking of sewing, we are getting close to funding the blankets for Project Linus, and I’ll be looking to hire a seller shortly!
I’d like to sew in really lovely little washable labels that say “with love from regretsy”, and I have no idea where to get those made. I know I could do them with a printer and iron-ons and whatever, but come on. I am way too drunk for that shit.
If you can make pretty, nicely made labels for this, email me. I have a $100 budget.

I wish I had some talent to help. This warms the cockles of my black heart.

Wow, best plaid ever.
January 13, 2010 at 10:31 am
Hahahahahaha, great fabric!
Etsy has sellers who make tags…
January 13, 2010 at 10:33 am
I made labels with spoonflower fabric. You can get a whole lot in a yard’s worth.
January 13, 2010 at 10:34 am
I can silk screen ‘em for ya! Best of the best! Promise!
January 13, 2010 at 10:35 am
Yeah, that’s true. You could just make a label fabric and order a test swatch and still get quite a lot of labels out of it.
January 13, 2010 at 10:36 am
Or you could just do it old school Mom-style, and write on them with a Sharpie.

“#8 pantsmonkey: Or you could just do it old school Mom-style, and write on them with a Sharpie.”
I could help with that! Or maybe Helen could commission Annie Blackberry to make hard acrylic like feel labels©.

Annie Blackberry! Brilliant! LOL
January 13, 2010 at 10:43 am
Oooh,
Nothing like plaid that screams a Klingon near Uranus.
January 13, 2010 at 10:44 am
#7 has a great point!
And the idea of sharpie labels cracks me up.
January 13, 2010 at 10:46 am
Anyone with an embroidery machine (I don’t have one) should be able to do it pretty easily.
January 13, 2010 at 10:49 am
Helen, I can’t email you bc the link isn’t working for me but if you’re interested in silk screened labels holla at me.
January 13, 2010 at 10:50 am
you can have them printed on ribbons that can then be sewn in as featured here: http://www.namemaker.com/
but if you hire a sewer with an embroidery machine, he or she should be able to stitch that right onto the backing. that’s usually what i do for mine…
January 13, 2010 at 10:54 am
The idea of a label done in Sharpie is hilarious!
I really enjoy the subversive quality of this fabric, unnoticed until up close.
January 13, 2010 at 11:05 am
Sharpie will wash out eventually – especially on a blanket that gets a lot of use/washings.

Thanks for that link!

You might be able to do some sort of amazing custom through this Etsy seller –

I imagine something with a level 4 flair?

I’ve not used them myself, but I found this label-making company recommended on a crafty blog I read:

only a woven label will not eventually fade out, or of course something embroidered.
January 13, 2010 at 1:33 pm
ps I heart that fabric. Somebody start a Regretsy Etsy shop (with proprietary labels of course) and do collabs or whatever and April can put the money toward the charity du jour.
January 13, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Um, why is a ton of this chick’s stuff tagged with Regretsy? And has positive comments from someone with the same avatar?

Say What?

I’d be totally contrite if somebody would point out the tiny felted vadge or cat or elephant ear that I’m missing.
January 13, 2010 at 4:32 pm
Ok, color me retarded- I see now that the profile name is different from the screen name. I thought we had poorly disguised shilling here when in reality I’m a fucking moron. I shall commence to ordering fabric to make amends.

There you go, loads of tags for just $5, complete with cat and elephant. Ask and ye shall receive
Now, who votes I make some hand bags out of the parodies of couture fabric and then sell them on Etsy?
January 16, 2010 at 8:37 am
@#32 I vote yes!!! But they have to parody the shapes of the handbags too, if possible. Just a messenger or a pouch would have insufficient fuckery.
January 30, 2010 at 9:37 pm
wow, i’m so impressed by a lot of the regretsy fabrics!
maybe check out this etsy seller for tags:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/MommieMadeIt
i’m in no way affiliated, however, i’ve ordered the washable tags from her before &was pretty happy with them. she’s nice, too. =)
