Dingleberry Plaid

Dingleberry Plaid (Regretsy Designer Print)

Perhaps my favorite new fabric pattern at Spoonflower, where there are now over 100 fabrics tagged, “regretsy”.

I am going to need a coat made out of this.

Speaking of sewing, we are getting close to funding the blankets for Project Linus, and I’ll be looking to hire a seller shortly!

I’d like to sew in really lovely little washable labels that say “with love from regretsy”, and I have no idea where to get those made. I know I could do them with a printer and iron-ons and whatever, but come on. I am way too drunk for that shit.

If you can make pretty, nicely made labels for this, email me. I have a $100 budget.

I made labels with spoonflower fabric. You can get a whole lot in a yard’s worth.

Yeah, that’s true. You could just make a label fabric and order a test swatch and still get quite a lot of labels out of it.

Or you could just do it old school Mom-style, and write on them with a Sharpie.

I could help with that! Or maybe Helen could commission Annie Blackberry to make hard acrylic like feel labels©.

And the idea of sharpie labels cracks me up.

Anyone with an embroidery machine (I don’t have one) should be able to do it pretty easily.

you can have them printed on ribbons that can then be sewn in as featured here: http://www.namemaker.com/
but if you hire a sewer with an embroidery machine, he or she should be able to stitch that right onto the backing. that’s usually what i do for mine…

The idea of a label done in Sharpie is hilarious!
I really enjoy the subversive quality of this fabric, unnoticed until up close.

Sharpie will wash out eventually – especially on a blanket that gets a lot of use/washings.

only a woven label will not eventually fade out, or of course something embroidered.

ps I heart that fabric. Somebody start a Regretsy Etsy shop (with proprietary labels of course) and do collabs or whatever and April can put the money toward the charity du jour.

Ok, color me retarded- I see now that the profile name is different from the screen name. I thought we had poorly disguised shilling here when in reality I’m a fucking moron. I shall commence to ordering fabric to make amends.

Now, who votes I make some hand bags out of the parodies of couture fabric and then sell them on Etsy?

@#32 I vote yes!!! But they have to parody the shapes of the handbags too, if possible. Just a messenger or a pouch would have insufficient fuckery.
