Contest Update

Today’s fabric contest is now being sponsored by Spoonflower!

They sent an email saying they’ll provide the prizes: 3 yards of fabric to 3 winners, and 1 yard each to 3 runners up!

This makes me so happy. it means we have a new resource for fun fabric projects, and they are really, really nice people.

Of course, this is bad news for anyone who knows me, because it gives me a reason to break out the Husqvarna and do some really piss poor sewing.

Thanks Spoonflower!

I am a fucking horrible seamstress! But I can still manage something simple, I am sure. ;)
    Hooray for Spoonflower!
A very cool site indeed, I will use them for sure, when I get a paying job.

I’m an over-user of decorative stitches type of seamstress. It’s an obsession.

Amazing site, too bad I too am all thumbs on the sewing machines too, even those amazing Swedish ones!

Every piece of clothing I ever tried to sew ended up being hideously boxy and unwearable.

Cool! Spoonflower rocks! If I win any length of this fabric at all, I am totally making you the pannots I promised on your birthday.

I knew I loved Spoonflower as soon as I saw they had a Whimsical category! (Very nice of them to donate the fabric prize.)

I agree, Ninjagato- once I heard about the site, I had a yearning to borrow my mother’s sewing machine which is sitting in her basement and get to work. It is sad I haven’t used one since home-ec of course (circa early 90′s) but hey, I can relearn, right? At least I can hand stitch for now…

I’ve shared the link to Spoonflower with my few crafty friends who do sew. And they’ll do the same with THEIR crafty friends, and so on. ;)
