It IS cute, but I still laughed like a complete lunatic at ‘blunt force trauma’.
Thank Christ there’s no vagoo in the picture, is all I can think of to say at this point in my life. Thanks, Regretsy.
i just checked out the rest of her shop and the other paintings are adorable- so this artist is a real artist but i guess she just had an off-day with this one!
…and the genetic mutant tongue cat made it seem like he was enjoying the attention, while in the back of his mind, he was plotting to destroy the earth…
#29: You ROCK! I absolutely love when sellers “get it” and can laugh along with us. Nancy, you have a great talent, not that you need us internet fools to tell you that. Thank you for being such a great sport.
This is one of the first cats I did and I am surprised but a lot of people have these reactions. They do not use the words you are using at the gallery but I do find this very fun and I apriciate the attention you are giving my painting that it made it to your site is great. I sold one last night so maybe this helped. Thanks I think;o)
Once again, another Etsy masterpiece is sold by Regretsy. That’s what it’s all about in the long run isn’t it? The artist is such a sweetie and a good sport and deserves it.
I was actually the one who purchased this print! My boyfriend LOVES cats, and he was sitting behind me, on the couch, and happened to glance over and see me looking at this listing…he literally scrambled to get his debit card.
He has been desperately excited about it ever since.
as a fan of zombie films and the like, i can imagine why someone would want to paint a person shoving their fingers through a cat’s skull and into its brain, but i don’t know why it would be titled “ahhh, yeah”, unless it’s the zombie saying “ahhh, yeah” followed by “mmm, brains.”
and also, on taking a better look at this seller’s shop and reading her comments, she rocks. her art is awesome. and really, i love zombies and brains.

Oh my it even comes with it’s own view in a room…how helpful.
December 10, 2009 at 4:18 pm
Damn lady, that’s a kitty, not a Pez dispenser!
December 10, 2009 at 4:19 pm
“Ah-h-h…Yeah” is not what he looks like he’s saying. It looks like she’s rubbing his brain.

Jeez, press a little harder, lady. Maybe you’ll puncture the kitten’s soft spot.
December 10, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Until I can see that his paws are free and unrestrained, I will not believe this cat is not being Gitmo’d.
December 10, 2009 at 4:35 pm
It kind of looks like she smushed the cat onto a scanner bed and scanned it. Poor thing.
December 10, 2009 at 4:37 pm
i think it’s kinda cute…

Nurse Ratched gently strokes her cat…
(Off-topicness!: Hey Helen! – post that pic of you with the Swan Lake Say What painting over here! Why do the FB people get to have all the fun?)

Kitty seems to have scurvy, having apparently lost all of her teeth and bones.
December 10, 2009 at 5:28 pm

“I sold the original on Etsy.”
what the…WHO is my question?
“Patty the Persian kitty hoped for some attention one morning, she got what she needed.”
She got what she needed alright…

#24–no explanation, other than an ambiguous and possibly terrifying expression.
#25–yes, some are nicely loose–and none are overpriced as prints.

Hmm. Cat lamaze coaching. Interesting.

I think I just developed a bad case of pussyphobia. This cat is scary!
December 11, 2009 at 7:39 am
At first, I thought it was some kind of mutant baby chick. Then I put on my glasses. . .and things really didn’t improve much.

That’s pretty much the face one would expect a kitty to make with someone’s fingers jammed into its fontanelle.
December 11, 2009 at 10:15 am
#29 Again–what a good sport! Did I say I like your watercolors?
