“This image is perhaps arresting at first, though this small exquisite print in fact illustrates (in the fine tradition of Beatrix Potter) the very natural relationship between chipmunks and mice”.

I do not remember any of the Beatrix Potter stories called “Timmy Tiptoes eats Miss Tittlemouse’s head off”.

Hey stupid ass- Chipmunks are not carnivores. They lack the bone structure and teeth necessary to rip into and chew flesh. Don’t make up shit just so it fits in with your “aesthetic” and then call it “truth.”

In addition, there is also a sense of Dada self reflexivity, that hearkens back to Duchamp’s Fountain. In sum, this cultural artifact represents the novel exploration of the anti-meta: Whereas meta-art is about-art, anti-meta art is about-art as art. Altogether, this suggests that art intellectualization is little more than mental masturbation.

Re #9:
Actually, Chipmunks are omnivores. They do eat meat, a fact that was amply demonstrated to me one weekend when I worked in a provincial park. First we had a family bring us a limp, bleeding fledgling bird that a chipmunk had attacked right in front of them on the trail. They had chased the chipmunk away and brought it to the naturalists, expecting us to give it first aid or something (we stuck it back in the woods.

Later that weekend, people spotted some chipmunks eating road kill

It’s some clean eating here, no mouse blood splattered anywhere! Who knew chipmunks are clean freaks too?!

“Because you had a bad day
You’re taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around…”

#77 yes, I can see the similarities w/ Goya.

I’m seeing Alvin eating Stuart Little…
“Dude, I told you not to drive my car or I’d rip your head off.”

Anger Management for chipmunks???

The big bad chipmunk knocked on the door of the three little mice…
“Let me in or I’ll bite your heads off to your chinny chin chins…
Oh, damn, wrong story…
Okay, Goldimunk was hungry, so she ate the head of the first mouse…”Mmmmm, this mouse is just right”
shit, been used…
Okay, The Chipmunk dressed in grandma’s clothes, laid in wait for Little White riding hood Mouse…

NEVERMIND

Beatrix Potter’s stories could be pretty warped at times. Am I the only one who remembers that story where Tom Kitten was captured by the rats and they wanted to make a pudding out of him? You can’t make this shit up:

I have lost several mice to chipmunks. I am glad there is someone out there who shares my outrage.

But in all seriousness, I’d actually like to own this.. however, it’s five bucks more than I want to spend.

I love this artist she is really good! It’s a good portrait of the dark side of these little creatures.

“Upon setting eyes on a mouse they are overtaken with an overwhelming desire to feast upon their brains and spinal *chords* like tiny and adorable little forest zombies.”

Apparently mice have musical spines… xylophones??
