i actually kinda like this, and I like a lot of the other biology themed jewelry in her shop. Not for me exactly, but i could see some subversive biologist chick rocking it. i don’t think it’s worth $200, but at least it took an obvious degree of skill & craftsmanship to make.

Asexual reproduction, whereby new individuals develop from the body cells of another, also occurs in some worms.” – Wikipedia; so no, your not making it up.

I AM THE ARTIST WHO MADE THIS PIECE. Its true, this is “worms fucking,” but I don’t think that makes it less interesting or wearable. Worms are not asexual they are hermaphrodites that use partners in copulating. I make jewelry about science and chose jewelry rather than other types of art because I think that it is the most intimate art form, which especially suits this necklace. I stand behind this piece and all of my work and invite your direct feedback.

Oh for fuck’s sake, once and for all, there are 12 phyla of worms and thousands of species, EARTHworms (Anelidia) are hermaphrodites, other worms reproduce sexually or asexually, and none of this has to do fuck all with equality in relationships that I can figure out. Worms don’t have relationships.
