This is very well done, I think, and looking at the shop, the person has a real ability to paint, unlike so many.
This person is also in need of serious counseling, to rid them of the “I’m so shocking and avant-garde” complex they have.
File under “Pompous hipster dumbass.”
Yes, this may be the most talented artist on Regretsy so far. That being said, I just can’t see myself wanting to buy a picture of flies fucking… Especially when the flies were probably just dining on some old dog poop before this ;P LOL!!
While the subject matter is rather unappealing, I have to say that this really doesn’t fit the Regretsy I’ve come to know and love. This person is an excellent artist and very talented, however dark his subject matter might be.
think this artist has some interesting images…they make you think- and a very good painter. as for everyone always griping about copyright infringement, i guess this bad boy is okay b/c his stuff is actually cool…
well this one is a little offensive…the doggie is adorable just dunno about it being a nazi dog?…
entomological sex.. well this is different. i give him credit for not only a good accurate depiction of copulation of insects but for painting an original idea….. in photography,, not so much.
the clowns however…… im guna have nightmares of Penny Wise later and people with compound eyes

LOL too bad you don’t like it. that’s ok I detest anything Picasso. Art is subjective….. its just surealisim.. like dali.. i happen to like this,, even the colors, most of his work is pretty damn good.
and id like to say ONE VERSION OF THE FLIES ARE SOLD.. and 3 sales for his shop today. Love it!
Valevortex — or as I like to think of him, “ValueVortex” (visualize $200 whirling down the toilet with a big flushing sound) — could learn something from this dude. Yeah, it’s disturbing, but at least it is well done and shows a sense of humor.
Yay! This painter is one of my favorites on etsy. And this is one of my favorites of their paintings. I love art that takes a not-so beautiful of appealing subject and executes it in a way that makes it beautiful.
The artist is actually really good. I just wouldn’t want a painting of two flies doing the deed on my wall. I would want to swat it every time I looked at it.

I get that art can be, to some extent, subjective and that Kelly is a competent graphic artist; OF COURSE this painting belongs here. My college art history professor always assigned the same final exam essay, choose one of a list of paintings, explain if you would or would not hang it in your living room and why. That’s what makes Ms. Killer’s “View This Image In A Room” so insightful.
I *heart* Nazi Pug. Forget the historic and political implications; he’s just plain cute. I don’t think Dark Vomit (stupid name, admittedly) belongs in the annals of Regretsy. He seems pretty talented to me.
@ #25 yougottabekidding – What’s the 4:20 mean? I don’t get it. Educate me.
I actually really like this…it’s really well done and it isn’t as if they’re pretending it’s anything other than flies screwing…I think the shock factor is kind of the point. If I had the money, or if someone so talented would want to trade, this would be mine!
#40, I’m on the fence here. Talent winning over bullshit and urinals gives me hope and snugglies. I gleefully tear open each issue of Hi-Fructose that finds its way to my mailbox.
But, on the other hand, its so repetitive and ripoff-driven that I’m perpetually at ‘wtf?’
I’d say this person is doing a mediocre dollar store impression of Ron English, minus the swank anatomy badassness of Mr. English.
#51 Whisperia, #9 clown is Jack from Jack in the box (fast food), #10 just looks like the clown from the old jack in the box toys from the 70s and I think #12 is John Wayne Gacy
November 10, 2009 at 3:03 pm
Ewwwwwww!
November 10, 2009 at 3:04 pm
I could think of a lot of drosophila geneticists that would love something like this.
November 10, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Ok I love this one.
November 10, 2009 at 3:08 pm
Frankly, if I wanted to see flies fucking, I would go to a cow pasture or a crime scene. You know, somewhere where it wouldn’t cost me $450!!!!
November 10, 2009 at 3:08 pm
Mom, Dad, I have an announcement to make…. I am changing my name to Dark Vomit.
November 10, 2009 at 3:09 pm

I quite like this……
November 10, 2009 at 3:10 pm
do flies fuck? how can i not know this? don’t they lay eggs or something?!
November 10, 2009 at 3:11 pm
This would go great in my baby’s room!

Ok so it’s not my taste in decor, but as far as being something novel to look at I kinda like her paintings…especially the Clown’s Last Supper one.
November 10, 2009 at 3:17 pm
I’m buying this for my Grandma’s christmas present.
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31315117

#5 I think the artist has is a serious case of tongue embedded in cheek. The dude that painted Involuntary Emesis needs serious counseling.
November 10, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Hopefully Valevortex hooks up with this girl. Think of the art projects those two could do together.
November 10, 2009 at 3:23 pm
Yes, this may be the most talented artist on Regretsy so far. That being said, I just can’t see myself wanting to buy a picture of flies fucking… Especially when the flies were probably just dining on some old dog poop before this ;P LOL!!
November 10, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Wait a second. I’m confused. My parents always told me that animals in this position were just wrestling…..
OMG you mean my dad wasn’t just showing my mom a new head lock?
November 10, 2009 at 3:44 pm
I’d like this image embroidered onto my reusable toilet cloths.
November 10, 2009 at 3:52 pm
First off, Kelly is a guy, and I like a lot of his stuff. I really wanted to get this, but couldn’t afford it.
http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=14356066
November 10, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Flies DO actually hump. Huh. Who knew Regretsy would prove to be so educational?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fly
November 10, 2009 at 3:55 pm
I like that one too FrankenKitty and I stand corrected Kelly is a dude.
November 10, 2009 at 3:58 pm
Is this still considered doggie style? I mean, since they’re flies and all…
November 10, 2009 at 4:07 pm
While the subject matter is rather unappealing, I have to say that this really doesn’t fit the Regretsy I’ve come to know and love. This person is an excellent artist and very talented, however dark his subject matter might be.
November 10, 2009 at 6:10 pm
Being without talent is not a requirement. I feature a lot of people who are good artists and have a lot of skill.
Not everything on here is just pure garbage. If that’s all posted, it would get really boring after a while.
November 10, 2009 at 4:19 pm
if i had the money i would buy this in a heartbeat.
November 10, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Yup. I like it too.
November 10, 2009 at 4:21 pm

I actually got a kick out of this one.
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18067915
Then I noticed that the time on the clock is 4:20 which is just so tacky and lame.
November 10, 2009 at 4:53 pm
The artist is more talented than most – I looked some of the other paintings and liked a few.
November 10, 2009 at 5:05 pm
My husband just told me I’m not allowed to look at this site while drunk anymore. I think my laugh is beginning to creep him out.
November 10, 2009 at 5:07 pm
The frame comes with it! How can you view it in a room without that awesome frame.
I think this one is very funny. Though I’m not about to buy it.
November 10, 2009 at 5:09 pm
I’m a twisted weirdo but I think in the right pretentious bar this could be awesome.
November 10, 2009 at 5:17 pm

November 10, 2009 at 5:35 pm
I also love this.
November 10, 2009 at 6:02 pm
This is cool and the artist is good. It’s the kind of thing I would buy…
November 10, 2009 at 6:22 pm
There are flies in the kitsch-en.
November 10, 2009 at 6:39 pm
TOO many clowns in his shop. I’m scared of clowns.
November 10, 2009 at 7:43 pm
“View this in a room” was spot on for this picture! I’ve been to a few restaurants where this pix might actually be appropriate!
November 10, 2009 at 7:57 pm
I dig Dark Vomit!
November 10, 2009 at 8:04 pm

I love that all clown bases are covered from Pennywise to Krusty
November 10, 2009 at 8:57 pm
you really have a talent for finding the best room for the ‘view in a room’ bit.
It’s a pity about the content because this is quite well painted.
November 10, 2009 at 9:28 pm
I think my favorite is the Clown’s last supper, being a stephen king fan and all. I loved Pennywise and the whole story of IT.
November 10, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Yay! This painter is one of my favorites on etsy. And this is one of my favorites of their paintings. I love art that takes a not-so beautiful of appealing subject and executes it in a way that makes it beautiful.

November 10, 2009 at 9:42 pm
Totally love Dark Vomit! I think she’s fucking hilarious and totally talented, if not totally WTF.
November 10, 2009 at 10:48 pm
The artist is actually really good. I just wouldn’t want a painting of two flies doing the deed on my wall. I would want to swat it every time I looked at it.
November 10, 2009 at 11:26 pm
Finally – a good painting on Regretsy! And yet, it still belongs.
November 10, 2009 at 11:44 pm
Is it wrong that I like The Eyeball Eaters? Not $1500 worth of like, mind you. But I dig it.
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13401656
And it’s bugging me that I can’t name all the clowns. From left to right:
1. Jack Nicholson’s Joker
2. Cesar Romero’s Joker
3. Heath Ledger’s Joker
4. Krusty
5. ???
6. Captain Spaulding
7. Pennywise
8. Jigsaw
9. ???
10. ???
11. Homey
12. ???
13. Ronald McDonald
The ones I can’t name look familiar, but I can’t place…
November 10, 2009 at 11:45 pm
….Well painted or no, I’m still not accepting the invite to dine at his place…. f#cking flies, Nazi dogs, clowns……

Don’t be giving my flies any crazy ideas.
November 11, 2009 at 4:19 am
This painting makes me feel queasy.
I dont think the talent of the artist is in question here. Just, well, who the f*ck would actually want this??!
November 11, 2009 at 4:31 am
The Nazi dog is so cute- if only he didn’t want to sterilize everyone. Revenge of the neutered?
November 11, 2009 at 5:00 am
Here’s a super professional photoedit I did of the Nazi dog in jail- his bad ways finally caught up to him.

But…last supper of the clowns? WOW. That’s damn creative and…I actually like it.
November 11, 2009 at 6:52 am

Maybe I’m jaded, but this soft core porn doesn’t excite me anymore, I need to see a nice close up action shot.

I have a pug, and this makes me kind of sad.

I totally agree with #50. With that said, what room would I hang this in?!
November 11, 2009 at 10:27 am
@ #16; ROFL! I love people who tie various Regretsy postings together!
I love the painter’s humour/pun too. But I agree it still belongs here.
And contrary to #25 I think the fact the clock says 4:20 is another tribute to the artist’s humour and attention to detail! Awesome.
November 11, 2009 at 10:44 am
@Stingray regurgitate,lick……repeat
November 11, 2009 at 10:48 am
this artist’s surrealism is for real…pretty damn good
November 11, 2009 at 11:01 am
I love this one. If I had the dough, I would buy it right away. The technique is very good and the subject perfectly disturbing and insectly awesome!
