We got a mention in the issue of Entertainment Weekly that came out yesterday. Regretsy is number 7 on The Must List for this week!

I knew this was coming out, so when I saw this issue at the airport yesterday, I nearly lost my mind. And when I got on the plane, the man sitting next to me was reading this very magazine! It was all just a little too much for me.

When he got to page 5, I pointed to the Star Jones cat looking doll and said, “That’s me!” He looked at me for a second and said, “Good for you.”

He didn’t speak to me the whole time we were in the air.

I think it would be especially fantastic if you managed to get more press & attention in the long run than Etsy itself, with their bumbling marketing strategy. (I’m mad at them today for posting Christmas stuff on their front page.)

As for Jea’s question on how it got noticed so quickly. Have you read this genius?! Good things spread fast on the internet. And good laughs that don’t cost you a cent to enjoy is a treasure.

And as for #6 … I feel you. I don’t have a creative bone in my body and this just makes me want to be an Etsy seller because apparently creativity, talent, and sanity are not requirements.

I’m one of the people who’s been introduced to this site through EW’s little snippet. And thank you SO MUCH for this site. I’ve been around Etsy since just after it’s birth and there has been so much I’ve come across that was so awful I couldn’t believe there was someone who thought it was a good idea to make it or that the person thought they were a top notch crafter that it would actually sell.
