About three things I was absolutely positive. First, there was a sale at Hot Topic. Second, I really wanted the New Moon ‘Team Jacob’ Charm Bracelet. And third, I would need two forms of ID.
HAHA people still use checks? Seriously? It’s a bit of a contradiction this item, for those of you who follow new trends in teen crap but are still old school enough to use checks…
If that person had any eye for composition, she’d have put the pictures on opposite sides, so that Edward is on the outside edges and Bella’s in the middle. And then the way his back is cut off wouldn’t be so noticeable.
Other than that, it’s stupid and hideous. But that still really bothers me.
Frou- Sadly I learned that Etsy will not enforce their anti-copyright violation policy unless the owners of said intellectual property contact them. Apparantly they don’t care about it as long as it’s still under the radar and they can profit.
I can imagine there are a lot of people who would buy this actually, not myself but a twilight fan and I agree about the copyright stuff, I think Etsy turn a blind eye to it if they can. Its all about the $$$
I am a Luddite enough to still use checks… that said, I won’t be purchasing this checkbook cover.
Like really, what’s next? Twilight toilet paper cozies?
(long pause… okay, so it’s hard to think of inane crap that’s for a demographic that’s too old for Twilight to slap Twilight imagery on…)
I guess the only thing left is to figure out how to incorporate Twilight into macrame.
Me observing someone using a Twilight-themed checkbook would not inspire confidence in their money management skills. In my experience, obsessive fans of dreamy, gothic romance are rarely disciplined financial planners.
Yes projectkennedy people still do use checks…kind of hard to pay my babysitter with plastic as she has no card machine and it’s easier then running to the bank to get cash. Definitely wouldn’t use THIS check cover though.
I’m always rather amazed by the sheer number of copyright infringements on etsy. Although, the variety of things that you can apparently transfer onto any surface is amazing… I await a Twilight/Lady Gaga themed nose bra for my station wagon!

I like the picture on the left where he’s looking up her left nostril. Whatcha got in there?

I think the cover would be more appropriately worded saying, “Look after my money, I’ve left it with you.”

@Moons in Leo: Hee!
I hope it glitters in the sunlight.

Maybe they can use it to purchase some real literature?
That said, @projectkennedy – I use a couple checks a month – not everyone accepts plastic.

If you’re old enough to carry checks, I’d hope you’re old enough to realize that this is awful!

I’m glad that there was a description…thought it was another sanitary napkin

Not only is it stupid and hideous, but all of her items are illegal, as she’s reproducing copyrighted materials for her own profit.
I hope Etsy, HBO, Summit Entertainment and Stephenie Meyers all hand her ass to her.
October 23, 2009 at 1:42 pm
how come no one complained about her copyright stuff yet??

Where are the sequins?….I see 2 bright spots on my screen, is that them? For $20.00 I want more than two measly sequins.

Pottery123 – those aren’t sequins, the fabric is made from authentic skinned Mormon vampires.

A Suze Orman checkbok cover, on the other hand…

I’ve had it with the vampires. Stop watching cheesy shit, and find a person to screw.
