I know this has already sold but I just asked my kids a moment ago what they thought it was. My (almost) 4 year old daughter said, “Pajamas!”. My six year old son said, “A bird’s nest.” I was laughing like crazy. I would seriously buy something like this just for how funny it would be to show people my new “teddy bear”.
I have also just purchased Abstract Bear, and I have asked the maker if she has any in plain white or brown. I seriously want 100 of these things. They are so awesome. I didn’t want to tell her I found the link here because I’m afraid she might not make any more. The bear may be the strangest looking thing I’ve seen, but I NEED TO HAVE IT. For those of you who also want bears, she still has some up. Abstract Bear and I are going to have a great adventure
She knows. I asked her to be in the book. She’s a good sport. Also, there’s a picture of this bear in the gallery above, posing with its new owner. – HK

for a minute there I thought maybe this was the back of the bear… but then I visited the listing and this is the only picture.
Perhaps it’s a bear for visually impaired children. They will never notice the lack of facial features or ears.
Or maybe it’s a birth defect bear, like some sort of natural genetic mutant…

it’s a politically correct bear – so that the bears who have no features don’t feel so bad about themselves.

That “eyeless, earless teddy bear thing” as Helen calls it has a name. Abstract Minimal Bear and his friend Abstract Variegated Bear are doing quite well in their new home, thank you very much!
