Ecch-o-Friendly

Jesus, what a mess. How is this even a toy? It’s trash stuffed with garbage. I can’t wait for the used Kleenex and egg shell teddy bears.

Wow, I just looked at the title & it said Guinea Pig; I seriously thought this was the head of a hippo made out of a pizza roll package… wow, do I feel silly now that I realize it’s an entire guinea pig.

I think we all want that for our children.

It looks like a pillbug, not a hamster. Maybe it’s for a seeing-impaired child? or a dog? dogs like crinkly things.

Sometimes recycling/reusing means throwing it AWAY.

I have to laugh at this because the guinea pig was made using my pattern. It is much cuter made in fabric! lol I have seen some unusual dolls made from my patterns, but this one… well… I don’t know what to say about a child’s toy made from plastic trash. Eeek! You can find anything on Etsy!

The pattern has just gone right to the top of my shopping list after looking at your version. My first name is Lenny, and I continued to keep guinea pigs until just a few years ago. Ah the joy of finding some treasure when there’s so much trash about.

@Pete Shaw No, I made a joke about a toy made out of garbage. If I was the type to make jokes about mental capacity, I’d mention your spelling.

Yes, the pattern, made of fabric is _really_ cute! This one, I keep seeing it as looking forward, that the ears are actually in the middle, and the legs are on the top, like we’re looking down at it from above. The pattern actually is looking at it from the front, like he’s up on his hind legs. I might buy this pattern…my daughter really wants a guinea pig!
I love your patterns bitofwhimsy! I think I have a couple even. :)

i love the markered-in eyes. all that work on making this beautiful hamster, and you just scribble the eyes in with a sharpie? :(

OMG You stole any comment I could have made!

But seriously, why spend time stitching the garbage? Could you just pull it out of the dumpster?

Love the intro on this item:
    “I am a mother of 2 and a wife of 1″

    RELAX…she’s not a polygamist! Whew!

When I was a child, all my favorite stuffed animals made “that crinkle crunch sound.” I was too young to realize that they were filled with unfused plastic scraps.

Aren’t those the bags they say not to leave around children? Not that the toy doesn’t look like it could provide hours and hours of eco-friendly fun, but…

Because nothing says “I love you” like a welfare teddy bear made out of Totino’s bags. >>

ah sweet irony. if one is conscious of the wellbeing of the planet then WTF eating that garbage for in the first place? Pizza Rolls? Eeeewwwww. Concern for the children? You’re killing them with manmade refined junk food! …and then selling the evidence. Criminal!

It Lives – Exactly. Hours of eco-friendly fun, just to end up in ICU with a traumatic brain injury from suffocation.

If the kids asked to play with the bags, and came up with this, okay, play with it for tonight then throw it away. But you don’t make something out of garbage and give it to a child. ANY child.
Stuffed with unfused scraps – OF WHAT?

@Mayor: whoever bought this would likely buy your Hot Pocket kangaroo. Heck, you could start an entire frozen food menagerie… Eggo elephants, Hungry Man hippos, Lean Cuisine hyenas!

just gonna throw this out there, but assuming this has been properly fused (thereby thickening the plastic and making it fairly durable) and cleaned beforehand this would probably make a fantastic doggie toy, you could just wipe the slobber right off! sadly i still don’t see this being worth $10 plus shipping. :/
