It kind of frightens me that anyone else would look at ANYTHING and immediately jump to “Steve Buscemi and Oliver Hardy!” Will you…will you be my friend?
In the original Italian film it was unintentionally misspelled. Tarantino deliberately copied the spelling, which is of course totally ironic and postmodern and stuff.
Hmm… was the misspelling of “Inglourious” laziness (I mean, how hard is it to quickly Google the name of the movie you are homaging), or an attempt to circumvent Universal’s copyright attorneys?
That’s the spelling the movie uses. How hard is it to quickly Google this very well-known thing that you are about to insult, before you suggest that someone else do exactly that?
Sorry, I misread. I thought amazon put inglourious in quotes meaning that inglorious was misspelled. Earlier comments on the spelling of basterds must’ve gotten to me. Well, Helen’s “I’m very disappointed in you” makes a lot of sense now. Happy Hanukah to me.
I give that one a pass. One technique with pastels is to draw with them and then use a paintbrush and some…oil? Paint thinner? I forget…to liquify the pastel a bit and blend the colours together. We did it in art class back in the day.
So…. if I was rich, I would buy every single piece featured on Regretsy in the last month and give it all to my uber religious inlaws for Christmas. Just so I could see their faces when they open each one. Can anyone tell I hate my inlaws?
December 22, 2011 at 6:08 pm
Well, something here is unglourious, that’s for sure.
December 22, 2011 at 6:09 pm
un-dubitably

Is that a Bowie knife or are you just happy to see me?
December 22, 2011 at 6:11 pm
Do they really feel that the watermark is necessary? I feel sorry for them.
December 22, 2011 at 6:14 pm
Maybe it’s just so everyone knows who to blame.
December 22, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Did perspective spit in this seller’s latkes or something that they treat it like this?
December 22, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Someone has achieved the amazing. They have made Brad Pitt look old, fat and unappealing.
December 22, 2011 at 6:19 pm
That’s supposed to be Brad Pitt? Fuuuuck….
December 22, 2011 at 6:25 pm
…and born with an unfortunate syndrome.
December 22, 2011 at 6:26 pm
Aww even Brad Pitt can have dental surgery. Don’t judge!
December 22, 2011 at 6:33 pm
D’oh!
December 22, 2011 at 6:45 pm
Unfortunately, Brad Pitt is managing to do that on his own.
December 22, 2011 at 6:51 pm
Wait…is this supposed to be a BAD picture of Brad Pitt?? I mean, it’s no Fight Club, but I think he still looks hot!
December 22, 2011 at 6:54 pm
I <3 Brad, but his I'm-going-to-look-like-Johnny-Depp phase just isn't doing it for me.
December 22, 2011 at 7:19 pm
Like Jeff Bridges imitating Johnny Depp. Poorly.
December 22, 2011 at 7:35 pm
How about looking like Jack Nance?
December 22, 2011 at 9:06 pm
I’d almost say he’s trying (and failing) to channel Bono.

I’ll be in my bunk.

Truly. I didn’t think anybody or any thing could ruin Brad Pitt for me. thankyouverymuch.
December 22, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Can we get some regretsy math on this? I see the love child of Jay Leno up there.
December 22, 2011 at 6:37 pm
Jay Leno + Orson Wells!!!
December 22, 2011 at 8:53 pm
December 22, 2011 at 9:51 pm
I think that’s a Regretsy compound!
December 23, 2011 at 10:18 am
I see a little Robert Downey Jr in there, too.
December 22, 2011 at 6:14 pm
Well. That’s a bit special.
December 22, 2011 at 6:14 pm
It’s Regretsy Math time!!

It kind of frightens me that anyone else would look at ANYTHING and immediately jump to “Steve Buscemi and Oliver Hardy!” Will you…will you be my friend?
December 22, 2011 at 9:37 pm
OMFG! Buscemi is staring as an underweight Skelator???
December 22, 2011 at 6:18 pm
The camera adds 10 pounds
December 22, 2011 at 6:20 pm
The “artist” adds ten stone.

December 22, 2011 at 6:40 pm
Oh you don’t remember the part where he gets all the bones in his hand broken with a giant mallet? Damn Na-zees…
December 23, 2011 at 2:05 pm
The hand comes to us ala Danny Devito.
December 22, 2011 at 6:29 pm

The film is called INglourious Basterds, not UNglourious Basterds, as the seller calls it in the listing title. That’s what amazon was getting at.
How hard is it to read properly before accusing others of being lazy?
December 23, 2011 at 9:36 pm
Sorry, I misread. I thought amazon put inglourious in quotes meaning that inglorious was misspelled. Earlier comments on the spelling of basterds must’ve gotten to me. Well, Helen’s “I’m very disappointed in you” makes a lot of sense now. Happy Hanukah to me.
December 22, 2011 at 7:00 pm
why does Brad Pitt’s face look like a butternut squash?
December 22, 2011 at 9:54 pm
Judging from the tint, the movie was filmed on Mars.
December 22, 2011 at 7:28 pm
I am so un love with this.
December 22, 2011 at 8:04 pm
Sorry to see that Brad Pitt’s wisdom tooth extraction didn’t heal properly in time for his sitting for this portrait!!
December 22, 2011 at 9:14 pm
Judging from the P.O.V the ideal buyer for this art is somebody who fantasizes about being a Nazi who is attacked by Brad Pitt and Eli Roth.
In other words…everybody!
December 22, 2011 at 9:55 pm
I don’t know… regardless of who it is, I have never been fond of the “staring up your nose” camera perspective.
December 22, 2011 at 9:17 pm
If those chubby, deformed fingers are on Brad Pitt’s hand, what’s holding the knife?
I assume this is supposed to be from the view of someone who’s lying on the ground looking up at them. Did it start with a tracing?
December 22, 2011 at 10:22 pm
‘painted with pastels’???
December 23, 2011 at 1:03 am
I was just thinking the same thing. Since when are pastels paint?
December 23, 2011 at 2:09 pm
Since Etsy is a marketplace for all things handmade.
December 23, 2011 at 9:56 pm
I give that one a pass. One technique with pastels is to draw with them and then use a paintbrush and some…oil? Paint thinner? I forget…to liquify the pastel a bit and blend the colours together. We did it in art class back in the day.
So, you CAN kind of paint with pastels.
December 23, 2011 at 3:08 am
Needs more nose-hair.
December 23, 2011 at 4:54 am

I see Ryan Reynolds on the left and Sean Penn from “I Am Sam” on the right. Definitely seeing Steve Buscemi as well
December 23, 2011 at 4:12 pm
Eliiii, what did he do to you?
December 23, 2011 at 9:58 pm
Dude on the left looks like a young Elliott Gould to me.
